How Much Will My Hair Removal Cost?

Our hourly fee is $70 dollars per hour, with increments of hours adjusted accordingly.

What this translates to in terms of total costs varies by the amount of hair being treated. We can give you a more precise answer for your particular situation at your free consultation.

We occasionally offer promotions and discounts that significantly reduce the Cost of Electrolysis Hair Removal.

Will my treatment hurt?

Your treatment does not have to hurt at all.

The “Cadillac option” is to have local anesthesia administered by a physician before your treatments (which we can arrange for you. We work with a local MD.) Local anesthesia is the most effective way to minimize discomfort, even in the most sensitive areas.

Regardless, as electrologists we have different methods and modalities that we can use to ensure your comfort.

What are the “modalities” that you use?

We use “flash thermolysis,” “slow thermolysis,” and “the blend” depending on a number of factors like the area being treated, your comfort, the numbers of hairs to be treated, and more.

An explanation of these terms is beyond the scope of this short FAQ, but we’d be happy to explain them in more detail at a consultation.

What about safety and sanitation?

We only use disposable needles.

We sterilize our tweezers and probe caps and will open the sterile package in front of you. We always use gloves, and we carefully clean and sanitize the treatment area between every client.

We are rigorous about cleanliness and safety and will be happy to answer any of your questions.

How does electrolysis work?

Electrolysis works by disabling each follicle with a small amount of electric current applied through a tiny needle.

While you will not feel the insertions of the needle, you will feel the warmth of the current being applied. Your electrologist will chose between a number of different settings and “modalities” tailored to the area being treated.

And did we mention Electrolysis is the only method of Hair Removal considered permanent by the FDA?

What about privacy?

We abide by the strict confidentiality standards set forth by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) of the USA.

In other words, we will never disclose any personally identifying or other private information about the services you receive at Mandala Electrolysis.
